Corona Covid-19

We take the obligations we have to our staff, customers and the community we are involved in very seriously. At the same time, we appreciate that as a coffee roaster, it is essential for us to understand how our coffee is loved by those that drink it. For this reason, we are sending out this communication around Corona COVID-19.

We have hence made some changes to the way we will be working until the pandemic is considered to be under control.

Reduced staff hours

As from tomorrow (17 March 2020), for both Buitenverwachting and Vineyard roastery, we will only be roasting Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays. Only one Quaffee representative will be at the roastery at a time, with a break between when representatives are there. This will mean that Sibu (who does deliveries) will only be at the roastery in the first part of the morning (8:30-9:30), and the last part of the afternoon (15:30 – 16:30). Then Mzukisi will be at Buitenverwachting from 09:45 until 15:15 on Mon, Wed, Fri. I (Warren) will be at Buitenverwachting Tuesday and Thursday the whole day. Only emergency roasts will be done on those days.

For the Vineyard roastery, Sino will be there Mon, Wed and Fri from 9:00 until 16:00.

Change of Delivery Days

Delivery days that were on a Tuesday will be moved to Wednesday, and delivery days on a Thursday will move to Friday.

For the meantime Saturdays will stay as normal (hours are 10:00 to 13:00).

Remoted working

Maya will be working remotely Mon and Wed from 8:30-15:00 and 8:30-14:30 on Friday. I will be working 8:30-16:30 every day.

We will still courier items, but only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

You can contact us as normal, and we will respond when we can. The Buitenverwachting office phone has been forwarded to my Cell phone. A delay in forwarding may occur.

Wishing all well

We wish all to be healthy over this trying time, and look forward to all returning to normal.
